How we all got here...

We would be greatly appreciate any information you have that could help us complete this branch of our family tree, dates that pertain would help, names of grandparents their children, aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, nephew, brothers and sisters.  Certificates of birth, marriage and death are helpful and family bibles may contain important information.


G. Sherman Cook, 
The youngest of the nine brothers and was also the first black postman in the Greene County area.  His position with the postal service required that he have a gun permit, G. Sherman was the first black person in the area to have one.  After the death of G. Sherman, his position of postmaster was passed on to Booker Cook, Sr. who is the oldest living direct Cook descendent.
